There is no hostel we recommend near Agua Azul. Stay at Palenque or bring a tent.

Agua Azul Entrance Fee:

$20 pesos in the Highway before entering Agua Azul.

Recomendations:

You can't swim near the waterfalls. Walk by the side of the river upwards, you will see a lot indigenous people in their own culture and places where you can safely swim.

Safe travel:

Try to hire a guide. If you are travelling without a guide be careful because theirs indigenous people that pull a string in the road side by side to make you stop. Don't stop, they want money, if you stop try to ingore them or give them a tip of no more than $20 pesos.

Restaurants:

In Agua Azul theirs a lot small good restaurants don't missed them. Try "Empanadas" which are a cheap and tasty meal.
