| Transportation, How to get there?: Take an airplane to Tuxtla Guitierrez (the capital of Chiapas) and from there take a bus to Palenque. If you are travelling by car and need extra information to plan your route click in the link below for send us your questions. |
| If you travelling by bus from Mexico City it will take you 13 hrs total or 6:00 hrs by airplane and bus. Palenque is 17355 Km-10783 miles away from Mexico City. |
For backpackers go the "Pachan" a very nice hostel near the ruins. We also suggest to stay in San Cristobal de Las Casas which is a beautiful town near Palenque. |
Chichen Itza Entrance Fee: |
Free for students and teachers. Entrance to the ruins $40.00 pesos. Entrance to the night show $30.00 pesos. Almost all entrance fees to mexican ruins cost around $30 to $50 pesos, also the museums. |
If you are a student take your student card. Go with a lot of energy, a hat and water. Is a very tyring trip so be prepared. |
This is a very safe place so don't worry and enjoy. |
Theirs a lot of small restaurants around the town. We recommend to go to downtown cause theirs plenty of good restaurants. |
